This is my submission to my sister's Online Memorial. This was a two week emotional journey to complete this piece involving several do-overs. I couldn't nail down a composition until a dream I had about my sister Cheri. It was just a flash of her waving good-bye and somehow feeling a sense that she was communicating she was ok.

The next morning I roughed out the idea you see here. Her left hand indicates her "ok-ness" and her right hand telling me good-bye. I suppose the look on her face is a reflection of every one she touched - happy she's going to be forever happy, but sad she has to go before us...alone.

Oh Cheri, how I miss you so much. There are so many people you touched here, and I'm so proud to have known you. I hope you can feel my love for you and wish you eternal happiness. Forever your brother.
